We once were surprised to hear a friend's young son exclaim: "You just never know what you are going to see in nature!"  His comment soon had me recalling experiences I've had and things I've seen. For example, we all recall walking on winter evenings as the last rays of sunlight faded and cast fleeting delicate orange-pink hues on the top of snowbanks—and then being surprised at how quickly they disappeared. We marvelled at the branches of a young hemlock tree bent to the point of breaking with the weight of fallen snow, and were reminded of the need to be flexible in life.  The things you "see in nature" indeed!
